Hera’s Groom

Beating the great urn of freezing water

Strengthening my weak hands,

I learn to fight

The icy teacher

sprays in cutting angles

and I play Zeus on this ocean

A storm conducted by

my body’s kinētikos

Thighs stomping

side to side

Arms thrashing

side to side

Hands cutting

in and in

Feet straining

up and down

And the wales of water

antagonizes,

provokes,

and baptizes

my battle
